Disruption to Air Traffic Services at Cork Airport

18 Feb 2008

Due to the continuing unofficial disruptive action by Air Traffic Controllers the Irish Aviation Authority has no alternative but to restrict traffic movements at Cork Airport between 0830 and 1800 hours tomorrow - 19th February, in the interest of passenger safety. This will result in some delays during the day.

The Irish Aviation Authority regrets the inconvenience to our airline customers and to the travelling public. Passengers are advised to contact their airline for further information. Talks are scheduled to take place tomorrow, the 19 February at the Labour Relations Commission between the Authority and IMPACT, the controllers union, in an attempt to find a resolution to the roster and call-in/overtime payment issues which are at the heart of this ongoing dispute.
