Irish Air Traffic reflected the European trend for October with Air Traffic declining in all the key areas.

En route operations (over flights) were down -5.8% on October 2007.

North Atlantic HF Flights \communications showed a similar trend down -6.2% % on the same period last year.

Commercial Air traffic movements at the State airports were down on October 2007 as follows Dublin –0.4%, Shannon –11.4% and Cork -8.3%.
2008 to the end of October showed the following trends:

En route Over flights, up by +1.8%

North Atlantic Communications, up by +3.4%

Dublin Commercial Movements, up by +3.8%

Cork Commercial Movements, down by -2.5%

Shannon Commercial Movements, down by -7.5%
