IAA CEO accompanies new CANSO Director General to CANSO HQ

01 Dec 2009

Graham Lake, new CANSO Director General, Eamonn Brennan, Chief Executive IAA and Deputy Chairman CANSO and Alexander ter Kuile, outgoing Director General CANSO. 1 December 2009: IAA Chief Executive and CANSO Deputy Chairman, Eamonn Brennan accompanied CANSO's new Director General Graham Lake on his first visit to CANSO HQ in Amsterdam in late November.

A busy handover schedule was arranged prior to Graham formally taking up his post on December 2nd, including attending his first CANSO committee meeting, the Legal and Policy Committee, on November 30th.

Mr Lake said he was excited at the prospect of the challenges which lie ahead. "Over the coming months, I'm looking forward to meeting as many members as I can. It is going to be important to understand their perspectives as we look towards mapping out CANSO's future strategy, which will be finalised at the AGM in Oslo next year."

Eamonn Brennan wished Mr. Lake well in his new role saying, "2010 promises to be another difficult year for the aviation industry and Graham will certainly have to hit the ground running in his new role. I and the Executive Committee however are confident we have found the best person to steer CANSO through these difficult times and to build on the work of his predecessor Alexander ter Kuile."
