Irish Air Traffic - March Statistics

Irish Air Traffic reflected the European trend for March 2009 with Air Traffic declining in all the key areas.
- En route operations (over flights) were down -6% on March 2008.
- North Atlantic HF Flights \communications showed a similar trend down -7.8% % on the same month last year.
- Commercial Air traffic movements at the State airports were down on March 2008 as follows Dublin -11.8%, Shannon –6.8% and Cork -25.4%.
2009, January to the end of March showed the following trends:
- En route Over flights, down by -5.17%
- North Atlantic Communications, down by -7%
- Dublin Commercial Terminal Movements, down by -12%
- Cork Commercial Terminal Movements, down by -24.1%
- Shannon Commercial Terminal Movements, down by -7.7%
- Combined Commercial movements for the three State airports were down -13%
