July Traffic Statistics - Downward Trend Continues

The impact of the global economic downturn on the aviation industry continues to be felt with no with of an upturn yet. Figures for traffic passing through Irish controlled airspace in July show another month of decline on the same month last year. These figures come just a few days after the International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic results for June showing passenger demand declined 7.2% when compared with June 2008 while freight demand was down 16.5%.
