Enroute traffic movements in Irish- controlled airspace for March 2010 show a an increase of 5% on comparable figures for March 2009. while north Atlantic Communications flights were up by 1%. This reverses the decline in enroute traffic during 2007/2008. For the first quarter of 2010 enroute traffic is up by 0.3%
Terminal traffic, however, continues to decline. For the month of March 2010, commercial terminal flights for the 3 State airports, Dublin, Cork and Shannon were down -16.1%
- Commercial terminal flights at Dublin were down -13.9%
- Commercial terminal flights at Cork were down -8.3%
- Commercial terminal flights at Shannon were down -35%
For the period Jan to Mar.2010.
- Over-flights were up +0.3%
- North. Atlantic Comms. flights were down -1.5%
- Commercial terminal flights for the 3 State airports were down -18%
- Commercial terminal flights at Dublin were down -16.5%
- Commercial terminal flights at Cork were down -9.9%
- Commercial terminal flights at Shannon were down -33.4%
