Restrictions in Irish Airspace extended to 1300 Sunday 18th April 2010

Based on the latest reports from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre London, http://metoffice.com/aviation/vaac/vaacuk_vag.html, the Irish Aviation Authority has extended the closure of Irish airspace to commercial traffic until 1300 on Sunday 18th April 2010. No commercial passenger flights including North American traffic will operate from any Irish airport during this period. Similar types of restrictions are enforced in Northern and Central Europe as well as the UK.

A further update will be posted on the IAA website at 1100 tomorrow - Sunday 18th April 2010. .
