Temporary Reserved Area (TRA) in the vicinity of Listowel, Co. Kerry.

A TRA restriction, within which flight restrictions apply, will be established in the vicinity of Listowel Racecourse, Listowel Co. Kerry to ensure the safety of air traffic. The TRA is defined as follows:

  • Circle radius 2 NM centred on N52 26 21.60 W009 29 19.80;
  • Surface to 2000 feet;
  • Times of operation are 0530 UTC to 1930 UTC daily between the 13th and 19th September 2009 inclusive.

Aircraft wishing to penetrate the TRA will require authorisation from the Flight Operations Department of the Irish Aviation Authority (00 353 01 6031500).

All arriving aircraft will require prior permission from the Racecourse Management. Additionally, Operators and pilots are reminded of the requirement to obtain a written permission from the Irish Aviation Authority with regard to Rule 3(1)(c)(i) of the Irish Aviation Authority (Rules of the Air) Order, S.I. No. 72 of 2004 where appropriate.

State aircraft and aircraft of the Irish Coastguard Service involved in search and rescue are exempt from the restriction.
